Hudsonville, Mich., emergency crews responded Monday after more than 100 vehicles collided on Interstate 196 during whiteout and icy conditions. Michigan State Police and Ottawa County deputies reported an estimated 30 to 40 semitrailer trucks among the wreckage and multiple jackknifed rigs. Authorities closed I-196 between exits 55 and 62 and used buses to move stranded motorists to Hudsonville High School, where responders arranged pickups.
