Columbus, Ohio — On Jan. 9 Meta Platforms publicly announced 20-year agreements to secure nuclear power from Vistra and development partnerships with TerraPower and Oklo to support its Prometheus AI data center. The deals include purchases from Vistra's Perry, Davis-Besse and Beaver Valley plants and funding for Natrium and SMR projects, aiming to add up to 6.6 gigawatts of new and existing clean energy by 2035 and uprates adding 433 megawatts from Ohio plants.
