Vice President J D Vance defended an ICE officer who fatally shot a Minneapolis woman during an immigration enforcement operation, saying the officer acted in self defence and accusing Democrats and parts of the media of mischaracterising the incident. Vance spoke at the White House on Thursday, cited video he said showed the woman driving into the agent, and referenced a prior injury the officer suffered.
