UPDATE: Special election date set to fill remainder of Rep. Greene's term

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp set March 10 for a special election to fill the remainder of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s term, after she resigned Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, with a year left. Twenty-two candidates—19 Republicans, two Democrats and one unaffiliated—have entered the race, raising the prospect of a runoff.
