AUSTIN, Texas — Governor Greg Abbott on Monday announced a partnership with Turning Point USA to establish chapters at every Texas high school, urging citizens to report districts that block Club America or TPUSA chapters to the Texas Education Agency. Abbott spoke alongside Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Turning Point senior director Josh Thifault, and publicly cited the group's growth from about 1,200 to 3,000 high-school chapters nationwide. Texas officials said no formal TEA complaints have yet been filed. The initiative follows a November meeting between Commissioner Mike Morath and TPUSA leadership.
