Raleigh man sentenced for Biden and agent threats

Michael James Ferr, 31, of Raleigh, was sentenced to 27 months in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to making threats to kill then President Joe Biden and a U.S. Secret Service agent, officials said. Prosecutors said Ferr posted disturbing death threats on X on Jan. 10 and, when agents interviewed him four days later, he threatened to kill one of them. U.S. Attorney Ellis Boyle said the punishment underscores swift consequences for violent threats, while a Secret Service official praised local police and federal prosecutors for ensuring accountability.
