Less than 24 hours after an overtime thriller against Houston, Syracuse meets Kansas at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for its second Players Era Festival game. Kansas beat Notre Dame 71-61 on Monday and has lost only to Duke and North Carolina, both by double digits. Both teams are short-handed—Kansas guard Darryn Peterson and Syracuse forward Donnie Freeman are out for the event. Syracuse’s defense looks ready; offense and free throws remain concerns.
