Walmart will report fiscal third-quarter results before the bell Thursday, offering a fresh read on U.S. consumer health as the holidays near. Analysts surveyed by LSEG expect 60 cents in earnings per share on $177.43 billion in revenue. As the nation’s largest grocer, Walmart serves many SNAP recipients, who stopped receiving aid during the prolonged government shutdown, and has lately drawn more high-income shoppers. In August, Walmart raised its full-year outlook and said shoppers remained resilient, projecting net sales growth of 3.75% to 4.75% and adjusted EPS of $2.52 to $2.62.
