Larry Summers resigns from OpenAI board, Harvard launches probe after Epstein emails

Larry Summers resigned from OpenAI’s board, saying he is stepping back from public commitments, as Harvard reviews his ties to Jeffrey Epstein following a House Oversight release of more than 20,000 estate documents, including extensive emails between the two through July 5, 2019. Summers, who will continue teaching at Harvard, expressed shame and took responsibility for continuing the communications. OpenAI said it respects his decision. After the document release, Donald Trump said he would seek an investigation involving Summers; Pam Bondi said she assigned Jay Clayton to the matter.
