Towns sparks shorthanded Knicks past Heat | JQJO

Shorthanded, the Knicks leaned on Karl-Anthony Towns to outlast the Heat 140-132 at Madison Square Garden. With Jalen Brunson out with a sprained ankle and OG Anunoby leaving in the first quarter with a left hamstring strain, assistant Rick Brunson kept urging to play through KAT, Brown said. Towns scored 18 in the first quarter and 31 by halftime, then facilitated against double-teams, saying winning mattered more than chasing 60. Brown later praised Mitchell Robinson’s eight offensive rebounds with an emphatic shout. The Knicks had no update Saturday on Anunoby.
