The New Orleans Pelicans fired coach Willie Green on Saturday after a 2-10 start, marred by a 0-6 opening, injuries and historic blowouts. Zion Williamson has played five games with a hamstring issue, as New Orleans slipped to bottom-five in offense and defense and dropped four straight, including 118-104 to the Lakers. Executive vice president Joe Dumars called the move difficult and thanked Green, who went 150-190 with two postseason trips. Assistant James Borrego takes over as interim coach.
