NFL executives question 2026 quarterback class | JQJO

A once-hyped 2026 quarterback class has cooled fast, with multiple NFL executives saying no passer looks ready to carry a franchise. That uncertainty could sting the Jets and Browns, who need help at QB and own extra first-round picks, and blunt the Titans’ trade leverage for the top slot. Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza is a tentative leader, praised for accuracy and poise. Alabama’s Ty Simpson shows control but limited traits. Oregon’s Dante Moore and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers flash upside yet inconsistency. Texas’ Arch Manning is improving, and many underclassmen may return amid NIL incentives.
