Trump calls on Justice Department to investigate Jeffrey Epstein's relationship with political and other figures

President Donald Trump said Friday he will ask U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Justice Department, and the FBI to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, and JPMorgan Chase. Calling it an “Epstein Hoax,” he framed the push as a response to Democrats after the release of thousands of estate emails by the House Oversight Committee—some referencing Trump’s own connections. None of those he named have been accused of wrongdoing. JPMorgan, Epstein’s banker for 15 years, has settled related suits without admitting liability, saying it regrets any association.
