Pirates ace Paul Skenes wins first Cy Young Award and Tigers star Tarik Skubal goes back-to-back

Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal claimed baseball’s top pitching honors on Wednesday, with Skenes a unanimous NL Cy Young winner and Skubal taking the AL award for a second straight year. Skenes, 23, led the majors with a 1.97 ERA and finished 10-10 for the last-place Pirates, while denying he wants out.
