Paul Skenes, in his second MLB season, claimed a unanimous 2025 NL Cy Young, flashing a wide grin, pumping his fist and hugging girlfriend Olivia “Livvy” Dunne as the news landed. The Pirates right-hander earned it with a 1.97 ERA, 216 strikeouts, and just 11 homers and 42 walks in 32 starts. MLB’s X account joked about how much livelier this celebration looked than his Rookie of the Year moment. Dunne shared behind-the-scenes clips, from jersey cookies and a Pirates cake to a glowing “2025 CY YOUNG” sign, before Skenes posed, smiling, a champagne bottle in each hand.
