Doncic praises Dallas as Lakers start strong | JQJO

After Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont fired Nico Harrison, Luka Doncic struck a conciliatory tone, thanking Dallas fans and calling the city home while stressing his focus on the Lakers. His trade to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a first-round pick had already sparked fan protests and “Fire Nico” chants. Dallas suggested the move stemmed from Doncic’s conditioning, a debate he sidestepped. The Lakers are 8-4 with Doncic and Austin Reaves, with LeBron James sitting out with sciatica and preparing to return. In Dallas, Davis has been hurt and Kyrie Irving suffered a torn ACL.
