Upsets jolt ACC race as contenders stumble | JQJO

Upsets rattled the ACC on Saturday as No. 14 Virginia fell 16-9 to Wake Forest, losing three fumbles and quarterback Chandler Morris to a head/neck hit, while No. 15 Louisville lost 29-26 in overtime to Cal. Five teams now share one league loss—Virginia, No. 17 Georgia Tech, No. 24 Pitt, SMU and Duke—tightening the title race. Virginia’s CFP odds dropped to 12 percent; Louisville’s to 9, per The Athletic’s model. Wake, now bowl eligible, leaned on its defense. Miami routed Syracuse 38-10, and elimination tilts loom: Virginia at Duke, Pitt at Georgia Tech.
