On Saturday, head coach Dave Canales surprised the team with Keegan-Michael Key on the big screen, who joked about the two pumps penalty and urged zero pumps to avoid fines. Key then introduced his wife, Elle, who announced a $15,000 donation to a charity of Dowdle’s choice. Dowdle’s fundraiser, benefiting Children’s Home Society of North Carolina, has climbed from $14,700 to more than $27,000.
