Two years after Northwestern fired Pat Fitzgerald amid a hazing scandal, he says he’s ready to return to coaching. Speaking on the College GameDay podcast, Fitzgerald said he feels 100 percent vindicated following an undisclosed settlement of his lawsuit. Northwestern acknowledged inappropriate conduct occurred but said discovery did not show players reported hazing to Fitzgerald or that he condoned it. After 17 seasons and a 110-101 record at Northwestern, he spent the past two years visiting pro and college teams. With multiple college head-coaching jobs open, he hopes to land one and chase championships.
