A predawn fire destroyed Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra’s Coral Gables home Thursday, despite more than 20 units battling flames “as tall as the trees,” officials said. No one was inside when the blaze began around 4:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported. Spoelstra, returning from a game in Denver, arrived after his team’s 5:11 a.m. flight landed and was seen outside the property, sometimes holding his head in disbelief, as crews worked. The blaze was contained to his property; nearby homes were spared. Investigators have begun probing the cause. Drone video showed the house reduced to charred rubble.
