Ben Johnson sees steady Caleb Williams growth | JQJO

At midseason, Bears coach Ben Johnson said developing Caleb Williams, the top pick coming off a rocky rookie year, is tracking well, with winning his "No. 1" measure. Williams capped the first half by throwing three touchdowns, including a final-minute winner, and catching another in a 47-42 victory over the Bengals that pushed Chicago to 5-3, matching their 2024 win total. Despite a bump in a Week 8 loss to the Ravens, Johnson sees weekly growth. A tougher back half looms, with six of nine opponents holding winning records.
