Penn Entertainment and ESPN will end their ESPN Bet partnership early, with the U.S. sportsbook set to be rebranded theScore Bet by Dec. 1, 2025. The 10-year deal, signed in August 2023, paid ESPN $150 million annually plus stock warrants for name, trademark, and marketing, but the companies agreed to wind it down; final payments to ESPN stop this quarter, though Penn will keep advertising on ESPN. Penn CEO Jay Snowden said the company will refocus on iCasino, while ESPN’s Jimmy Pitaro will pursue other opportunities. The exit comes amid an NBA gambling scandal involving federal arrests.
