Will Smith’s 11th-inning blast lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in a seesaw Game 7 in Toronto, making them the first repeat champions in 25 years. Smith hit the first extra-inning homer in a winner-take-all World Series game after Miguel Rojas’s stunning ninth-inning tie, also a Game 7 first. World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam, and the night ended on a 6-6-3 double play started by Mookie Betts, silencing a stunned Rogers Centre crowd.
