Auburn coaching search intensifies after Kentucky loss | JQJO

A bruising 10-3 loss to a Kentucky team riding a 10-game SEC skid made clear Hugh Freeze’s time at Auburn was over after three seasons marked by a 6-16 league record and repeated offensive droughts. The job’s appeal is debated, but contenders range from Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham, an ex-Auburn OC succeeding at his alma mater, to Tulane’s Jon Sumrall and Group of 6 winners Ryan Silverfield, Alex Golesh and Charles Huff. Wild cards include James Franklin, fired at Penn State. Auburn hasn’t topped six wins since 2019 and remains volatile even by SEC standards.
