SNL skewers NYC mayoral debate with Cuomo | JQJO

Saturday Night Live opened with Miles Teller as Andrew Cuomo skewering a New York City mayoral debate. Ramy Youssef and Shane Gillis played candidates Zohran Mamdani and Curtis Sliwa, with Cuomo and Sliwa repeatedly mangling Mamdani’s name. Kenan Thompson, as moderator, asked why anyone wants “the worst job in the world,” prompting Cuomo’s quip about being hated. The sketch lampooned Sliwa’s taxi shooting story and Mamdani’s flirt-to-camera pitch, earning a “TikTok-ery” rebuke. James Austin Johnson capped the bit as Donald Trump, riffing on Phantom of the Opera and teasing a mayoral bid.
