Disney+ is introducing HDR10+ for the first time, though availability will be limited at launch. Samsung announced that about 1,000 Hulu shows will support the format, with other Disney programming to follow later. The initial rollout targets Samsung Crystal UHD TVs and higher from 2018 onward, plus select Samsung Smart Monitors. HDR10+ builds on HDR10 and, like Dolby Vision, offers scene-by-scene improvements to contrast, brightness, and color if viewers have compatible screens.
