Disney+ has begun streaming in HDR10+, though for now the option is limited to select Hulu titles—“over 1,000,” according to Samsung, which says its 2018-and-newer TVs are the first to play HDR10+ from Disney+. The Disney+ app on Apple tvOS also lists HDR10+. Previously limited to HDR10 and Dolby Vision, Disney+ is adding HDR10+ to better serve Samsung viewers, whose sets lack Dolby Vision. Additional Disney+ content will support HDR10+ in the future, and subscribers—even on the cheapest plan—can watch in HDR amid growing competition and recent price increases.
