Billie Eilish questions wealth accumulation before Zuckerberg | JQJO

Billie Eilish used an award acceptance speech Wednesday night, with Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg in the audience, to question why the mega rich let wealth accumulate and to urge billionaires to give, saying people need empathy and help. Fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson applauded on Threads, saying Gen Z will call Zuck an evil dork to his face. Zuckerberg has signed The Giving Pledge and, with Chan, vowed in 2015 to donate 99% of their Facebook shares, then worth $45 billion, through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Celebrity criticism of extreme wealth has intensified, from Ms. Rachel to Rosie O’Donnell.
