Family says cruise failed woman left behind

An 80-year-old passenger, Suzanne Rees, was found dead on Lizard Island a day after the Coral Adventurer departed without her, prompting her daughter to accuse the cruise operator of a 'failure of care and common sense.' Rees had left a group hike to rest on a very hot day and, according to her family, was told to return unescorted; the ship then left, 'apparently' without a passenger count. AMSA says it was alerted at 21:00 Saturday; a helicopter found her body Sunday. Coral Expeditions said it was 'deeply sorry' and is cooperating with investigators.
