Abigail Zwerner, the Virginia teacher shot by a 6-year-old at Richneck Elementary, told civil jurors she thought she was dying as a bullet tore through her hand and lodged in her chest. In a $40 million lawsuit, she alleges former assistant principal Ebony Parker ignored repeated warnings the boy had a gun. Teachers testified they alerted Parker; the defense argued Zwerner could have acted and cited her post-shooting activities. She described pain and difficulty with simple tasks.
