Utah Judge Tony Graf ruled that Tyler Robinson, 22, charged with aggravated murder in the Sept. 10 shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, may wear street clothes but must be restrained, citing safety amid extraordinary publicity. Prosecutors will seek the death penalty. Graf barred media from photographing or filming restraints. Prosecutors cite incriminating texts and DNA; Robinson allegedly wrote he targeted Kirk because he had enough of his hatred. He surrendered with his parents after a retired deputy helped arrange it. Robinson is due in person Jan. 16 and 30; Monday he appeared via a blacked-out feed.
