LSU fired coach Brian Kelly on Sunday night, ending his fourth season of a 10-year, roughly $100 million deal, athletic director Scott Woodward said. The decision followed a 49-25 home loss to No. 3 Texas A&M — LSU’s second straight defeat and third in four games — leaving the Tigers 5-3 (2-3 SEC). Associate head coach Frank Wilson was named interim for the rest of 2025. Kelly went 34-14, reached the 2022 SEC title game and coached Jayden Daniels’ Heisman season, but never made the playoff. Separation terms remain under negotiation.
