Major companies fund Trump's proposed ballroom project

Read, Watch or Listen

Major companies including Apple, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Google, Coinbase, Comcast and Meta have donated to President Donald Trump’s proposed 90,000-square-foot ballroom, the White House said. Trump insists the project is privately funded by himself and donors and will not cost taxpayers. On Wednesday, he said the ballroom will cost “about $300 million,” after the administration earlier put the price at $200 million. Additional donors include Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and his family, and the Adelson family; Miriam Adelson received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2018.
