HBO Max Hopes You 'Like' or 'Love' Its New Feedback System

HBO Max on Wednesday, Oct. 22, introduced its first feedback buttons—Love, Like, and Not for Me—on select web, mobile, and connected TVs to shape recommendations. 'Not for Me' will push titles down, while 'Love' powers a 'Because You Loved' rail; 'Like' has a lighter effect. Buttons appear on title pages and after viewing. The rollout follows a price increase a day earlier: ad-supported now $10.99 per month, standard $18.49, premium $22.99, with annual plans up $10, $15, and $20. Other streamers, including Disney, Peacock, Apple, and Netflix, also raised prices this year.
