Philadelphia police found human remains believed to be missing beauty queen Kada Scott, 23, in a shallow grave behind the shuttered Ada H. Lewis Middle School after a “very specific” anonymous tip. Investigators uncovered fresh dirt and a strange smell while searching the East Germantown property Saturday. The remains have not been officially identified. Scott vanished Oct. 4 after leaving her job; her damaged 1999 Toyota Camry and belongings were found near the site earlier. Police have arrested Keon King, 21, on kidnapping-related charges; he has not been charged in Scott’s death.
