Israel says it has received body of another hostage from Gaza amid dispute over handover delays

Israel said the Red Cross handed over another hostage’s body in Gaza, amid friction over delays in returning remains under the ceasefire. The coffin—Israel’s 10th deceased hostage out of 28 held—was transferred for identification. Hamas’ Qassam Brigades said the remains were of an “occupation prisoner” as crews used bulldozers to search rubble in Khan Younis; a Turkish team awaited Israeli clearance to assist. Israel claims Hamas knows the locations; Hamas says it remains committed. Fighting has mostly paused, yet Gaza’s Civil Defence reported 11 killed by Israeli fire Friday. Twenty living hostages were returned earlier this week.
