Illinois Governor JB Pritzker reported a $1.4m Las Vegas blackjack win on his tax filing, calling himself incredibly lucky and describing the sum as a net figure from the trip. His campaign told CBS he plans to donate the windfall to charity but did not say why it hasn’t happened yet. Pritzker and his wife reported $10.6m in 2024 income, paying $1.6m in taxes on $5.87m of taxable income. One of President Donald Trump’s strongest critics of late, he has clashed over the federal deployment of national troops to Chicago and intends to seek a third term in 2026.
