A 10-year-old Palestinian, Muhammad al-Hallaq, was shot dead by Israeli forces in al-Rihiya, south of Hebron, after troops opened fire during what the army called confrontations and rock-hurling. Witnesses said the boys had been playing football and ran at the sight of military vehicles before a soldier fired from the back of a car; al-Hallaq was hit in the pelvis and died in hospital. His mother recalled his school day and dreams. The IDF said the incident is under review; Israel’s Kan reported a commander found deviations from rules of engagement. Separately, a 20-year-old man was killed near Jenin.
