Ace Frehley, co-founder and lead guitarist of Kiss, has died at 74 from injuries after a fall last month, his family said. In a statement, they called themselves devastated, celebrating his laughter, kindness and achievements, and said his memory will live on. Known as “Space Ace,” Frehley was celebrated for his fiery guitar work and the solo hit “New York Groove.” He joined Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons in 1972, left in 1982, rejoined for the 1996 reunion tour, and departed again in 2002.
