Ex-national security adviser John Bolton indicted in classified documents case

John Bolton, former national security adviser and Trump critic, was indicted in Maryland on 18 counts tied to mishandling classified material: eight for transmitting national defense information and 10 for unlawful retention, each carrying up to 10 years. The Justice Department says he used personal email and messaging apps to send intelligence on future attacks, foreign adversaries, and foreign-policy relations. Two months ago, FBI agents searched his home and seized documents marked classified, including references to weapons of mass destruction. Attorney General Pamela Bondi said there is 'one tier of justice.' It follows indictments of James Comey and Letitia James.
