The Diplomat Season 3 Recenters on Marriage | JQJO

Netflix's The Diplomat returns with Season 3, the first since the 2024 election, leaning into escapist fantasy while refocusing on its core: Kate and Hal's combustible marriage. After President William Rayburn's death elevates Grace Penn, the new president offers Hal the vice presidency over Kate, jolting their fragile equilibrium and shifting action to the White House. The series widens its world with New York shoots and a Hamptons interlude, giving Nana Mensah's Billie Appiah more screen time. A standout second episode revisits the couple's beginnings. Overall, the season favors intimate power dynamics over geopolitics - and it's now streaming.
