Police in Trinidad and Tobago are investigating reports that two locals from Las Cuevas were among six people killed in a U.S. strike on a boat allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela. Donald Trump, without providing evidence, said the strike in international waters killed six "narcoterrorists." Authorities have not confirmed the Trinidadians’ deaths. Lenore Burnley said Venezuelan contacts told her that her son, 26-year-old fisherman Chad Joseph, was aboard; she criticized the action as contrary to maritime law. Local media also named another Las Cuevas man known as Samaroo. At least 27 people have died in such attacks off Venezuela.
