Four decades after three men were wrongly imprisoned for the 1984 rape and murder of 16-year-old Theresa Fusco, a Nassau County grand jury indicted Richard Bilodeau, 63, after DNA from a discarded smoothie straw matched evidence from the crime. Bilodeau pleaded not guilty and was remanded, facing up to 25 years to life if convicted. Prosecutors say he was 23 and living with his grandparents when Fusco vanished from a Lynbrook roller-skating rink; her body was found weeks later nearby. Authorities said multiple leads led them to Bilodeau, whose lawyer declined comment. Two exonerated men later won $18m each.
