U.S. President Donald Trump and Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will co-chair a Sharm el-Sheikh peace summit after a Gaza ceasefire took effect. European leaders attend, and a signing ceremony for a “Middle East peace plan” agreed by Israel and Hamas is expected, though neither will be present. Hamas is expected to free Israeli hostages Monday in exchange for prisoners as trucks reenter Gaza. The Wall Street Journal said Hamas told Israel it has 20 hostages; Israel expects their Red Cross transfer Monday. Trump speaks at Israel’s Knesset before joining, and European Council President António Costa will represent the EU.
