The troops, part of a team including partner nations, NGOs, and private sector entities, will establish a civil-military coordination center to facilitate humanitarian aid and logistical and security assistance. The center will not send American troops into Gaza. The troops, experts in transportation, planning, security, logistics, and engineering, will also help oversee the ceasefire implementation and the transition to a civilian government in Gaza.
