A powerful explosion tore through the Accurate Energetic Systems munitions plant near Bucksnort, Tennessee, on Friday, leaving people dead and missing, authorities said. Thick smoke and secondary blasts forced rescuers to hold back as flames rose from a debris field; crews initially couldn’t enter because detonations continued, an EMT said. The cause remains unknown.
