Derrick Groves, the final inmate to escape a New Orleans jail in May, was apprehended in Atlanta after a five-month manhunt. Federal law enforcement, acting on a tip, discovered Groves hiding in a crawl space within an Atlanta home. Groves, convicted of a double murder, was the alleged ringleader of the jailbreak. All ten escapees have now been captured. The successful operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies and was aided by public attention.
