Robert Preston Morris, former pastor of a Texas megachurch, pleaded guilty to five counts of lewd and indecent acts with a child. The abuse occurred in the 1980s when the victim was 12. Morris, 64, received a 10-year suspended sentence, with six months in jail. He must register as a sex offender and pay restitution. The victim expressed relief, hoping her story encourages others to speak out against child sexual abuse.
