Nothing Unveils AI App Store, Embracing User Creation | JQJO

Nothing has launched Playground, an app store featuring user-designed, AI-generated apps built on Android. While not an AI-native OS, it aims to create a more personal and adaptable smartphone experience. Users can create custom widgets and simple apps via written prompts, with plans for more complex applications and a potential creator economy. This "Essential" initiative positions devices to adapt to users, though it's currently limited to Nothing phones (excluding Phone 1) and relies on web-based creation.
