Hillshire Brands is recalling approximately 58 million pounds of corn dogs and "sausage on a stick" products due to potential wooden stick fragments in the batter. The recall, initiated after consumer complaints and reports of injuries, affects State Fair and Jimmy Dean brands packaged between March 17 and September 26. Products were distributed nationwide, including to school districts and military facilities. Consumers are advised to discard or return affected items marked with "EST-582" or "P-894". Hillshire Brands states the issue is isolated.
